Hypnotherapy can be helpful for anyone experiencing difficulties with fertility, pregnancy related problems, or postnatally. In addition to fertility and pregnancy related issues, I can also offer support with other issues affecting women, such as anxiety, or the symptoms of the menopause. And of course there is hypnobirthing, which puts hypnosis based techniques to use during childbirth.
What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy simply means using hypnosis to address problems that originate in the mind. Hypnosis is simply a tool that we use during a therapy session.
Hypnosis itself is nothing magical, it is simply a state of focussed relaxation. During a session of hypnosis I will help guide you into that relaxed state, but you will be completely in control at all times. Hypnosis is a state of mind, and people experience it in different ways. Most people find it a pleasant and relaxing experience.
The type of hypnosis I use with expectant mums is perfectly safe during pregnancy. If you are not currently pregnant, then I may suggest using more analytical forms of hypnotherapy, depending on the nature of your problem.
If you are feeling uncertain about whether hypnotherapy is right for you, why not give me a call so that we can discuss it and I can answer any questions you may have. You might like to take a look at some Frequently Asked Questions
Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT)
In addition to hypnotherapy, I am very happy to be able to offer my clients Brain Working Recursive Therapy or BWRT. BWRT is a fast, non hypnosis based form of therapy which works brilliantly for anxiety based problems. You can read more about BWRT here.
