Becoming a parent can be an amazing experience and is certainly life changing. Parenthood is often something we have been hoping for and planning for a long time.
However for some the reality can be overwhelming. There may be many reasons for this, perhaps a difficult birth, perhaps a lack of support, hormonal changes after the birth, or simply adjusting to a new role as primary carer for a small and very demanding human being! It may suprise you to know that postpartum depression (PPD) and anxiety (PPA) disorders affect fifteen to twenty percent of new mothers; and 1 in 4 men can also show symptoms.
Hypnotherapy in the postnatal period is designed to help you manage your stress and anxiety, and regain a sense of control in your life. My goal is to support you so that you can become the best parent for your child - not the perfect parent, but a happier, more relaxed parent.
The postnatal period can also sometimes throw into sharp relief previously unresolved issues such as pregnancy loss, grief, relationship issues, or a history of anxiety, all of which can be worked on.

Unfortunately as this is a therapy centre where other clients may be having counselling or complementary therapy it is not ideal an ideal location to bring your baby. However if you prefer not to leave your baby with a carer it may be possible for me to visit you at home, depending on your location, or for you to visit me at mine. There is always a way!
