If you want to lose weight, or have been told by your doctor that you should lose weight for health reasons, the prospect of embarking on a weight loss programme can be a daunting one.

Of course hypnotherapy in itself cannot make you lose weight, unfortunately there is no "magic bullet" that will make those pounds drop off. However it can be helpful in:
Hypnotherapy can work successfully alongside weight loss programmes such as Weight Watchers or Slimming World. However many people find that once they have addressed the emotional or psychological aspects around their weight, they can lose the pounds naturally and slowly without the need for a restrictive "diet".
Since weight loss can be a complex issue, I generally suggest that clients wanting support in this area book a programme of sessions over several weeks. The first session takes the form of a thorough intake, and I will take you through a detailed questionnaire covering eating patterns, attitide to food, life experiences, and so on. We will then discuss and agree the best way forward.
For some women, weight can be inextricably linked with their sense of self. Where this is the case, then I would recommend Advanced Level Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT Level 2) as an alternative to hypnosis. However we can discuss all this in more detail when we meet.
