As women we face a number of challenges unique to our gender - for example pregnancy, childbirth, and the menopause. Each of these life stages bring their own unique challenges and opportunities.
But did you know there also some psychological and physical problems that are more common to women than men, or that women experience in a different way?
For example, anxiety seems to be more common in women than in men. Anxiety can include depression, fears and phobias, generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), OCD, panic attack, post traumatic stress disorder, and eating disorders.
Women are also much more likely to be diagnosed with autoimmune disorders including IBS and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
These problems can affect women of all ages, including teenagers and older women.
As a woman I understand what it is like to face these challenges. My passion is working with women of all ages, to help them make positive changes in their lives.
